Terrestrial Transport Calculator v1.0 Readme By Kurotatsu The purpose of this readme file is to instruct members on how exactly to use the Terrestrial Transport Calculator. It's a simple program run in Excel via various formulas and calculations, and was not made to be very complicated to operate. Basically, all the user has to do is edit the regions with red borders around them ONLY, and the calculator will automatically determine everything from total price to estimated travel time. It's quite simple-enter how many tickets you want for a certain type of transportation, select a type of route to take, then list the quantity of each type of territory you will pass over on that route. There are a few major things that you must keep in mind though: 1. If you are traveling in your own territory, simply enter a "1" in the territorial quantity field and a "1" (the answer for yes) for the Territorial time and cost coefficients. Generally this calculator will only be used for things like this if the territory you are traveling in is very large. Otherwise the travel distance is so insignificant that a separate manual price will be calculated. 2. The "Oceans" territory field is used for flights, while the "Oceanic Parsec" scale is used for ship cruises. The two calculate differently so be sure of what you are doing before you mistakenly put the wrong quantity of territories passed in the wrong category. 3. The size of an Oceanic parsec can be seen in ColonyMaps' Earth map. 4. Be sure to be careful when choosing both a cost and time coefficient value. You must enter 1 for Yes, and 0 for No, and only one number 1 can be placed in each of the two coefficient categories. Look at the route that you plan to take, and state whether you wish to travel direct or via connection. If there are any other questions about this calculator, e-mail me, and I will add solutions to them in this Readme.
