Origin/History: Originally founded before the Universal Century, the Earth Federation was the world organization that launched the space colonization project. The Earth Federation had backslid into complete irrelevance by UC0153, and it was dissolved and transformed into the Congress of Settlement Nations by UC 0223. Soon after the AC calendar began, this alliance fell apart, and the Earth Federation disappeared into the darkness.

But around the beginning of the L1 Trade War, the Federation's remnants decided to join together once again, and the organization declared its rebuilding process fully completed in late AC 227. With a completely overhauled military and newer equipment to use, the Federation quickly established itself as a formidable superpower by declaring war on an old adversary, the Nocturne Alliance. Although the short battles between these two nations would ultimately end in Federation defeat, it was the first time that an organization other than the Shinter was powerful to take on the Nocturne Alliance juggernaut.

Seeing the Shinter's completed Machine project as a valuable asset, the Federation requested Shinter aid in the form of blueprints and some materials necessary to mass-produce their own version of the Machines. Unfortunately, these mechs still paled in comparison to the new Ace-type Machines, and were eventually destroyed in future assaults against the Helene HALO Industries complex.

After retreating to the North American west coast near the closing of the Apocalypse War, the Earth Federation soon established additional colonies across the world in order to make itself a world superpower once again.
