Origin/History: In response to the renewed SODOM/Selene war, another alliance was formed between the three colony clusters of Noa, Gaia, and Loum. Located at Lagrange Point 4, Loum is another colony cluster that gained independence from the Shinter. Desiring a vital space outpost upon which it could conduct a vast expansion campaign, SODOM sent an expeditionary force to Loum to gain data on their defenses, and then attack accordingly in a hostile takeover. Detecting these forces moving in on one of the colonies in this cluster, the Republic immediately mobilized their defenses to intercept the SODOM expeditionary force. A battle ensued, and although it only lasted for two days, it quickly became clear that Loum was the victor. This humiliating defeat for SODOM set back some of its plans for space recolonization, but at the same time angered the Grand Marshal. Never had he been defeated in such a way by what he considered an inferior attack force. SODOM claimed that its forces that were defeated were just there for observation purposes. At the same time the Loum Republic issued a stern rebuttal, that SODOM had no place being near the colony cluster and was in direct violation of its airspace. Tensions between both nations have only increased in the preceding months, and from the looks of this crisis it is unsure that any peaceful solution can be met. Noa was originally the central space command post of the Earth Federation, but was taken over by the Shinter at the beginning of the L1 Trade War. In AC 231 the colony cluster gained independence and unified together. Noa is specifically known for its large urban city areas and its high industrial GNP. Its particularly prodigious export lies within metallic alloys; Noa maintains an active mining fleet that gathers metals such as Luna Titanium, and manufactures several variations of Gundanium in tandem with Anaheim Electronics (mainly focusing on Nanopaste development technology). Noa is additionally known as having the largest mass catcher that was ever built, and frequently gathers tremendous payloads sent via mass drivers on other celestial bodies in the Earth Sphere. Not to mention that Noa has an extensive weapons industry (specializing in both firearms and melee combat weapons such as swords, gauntlets and grieves, etc.) Although Noa is relatively peaceful, crime is at a somewhat high level. For this reason, UCIS Law Enforcement officials maintain multiple crisis centers all around the cluster's cities, to ensure that the public is protected from criminal harassment. Another prosperous colony cluster in L1, Gaia is much like Side 1-it is known for its agriculture. The frequent interaction with both the lunar colonies, the Earth, and the other sides ensures that Gaia's trade flourishes. As strawberries are Zarn's specialty, Gaia's most valuable export is both oranges and grapes, with lavish orchards covering much of the cluster's colony land area. Gaia is the single largest space producer of wine and champagne as well, and makes a generous profit off of the sale of these two products. There is only one complication to peace in Gaia. Recently, terrorists from Munzo took over a wine production plant in an extremist protest of the alcoholic beverage industry, and killed many of its hostages before UCIS law enforcement officials could stop them. And when Munzo heard of the incident, it offered no sympathy, and no apologies whatsoever. As a result, tensions began to mount between the two nations. As of now, however, it is uncertain whether the already built up pressure could escalate into an armed conflict or simply fizzle out and fade away. It because of this reason that many Gaia citizens live on edge, wondering if Munzo will make the first move and launch a blitzkrieg attack on the colony cluster.
