Origin/History: Referred to as the New Selene Rogue Alliance during the L1 Trade War, because of a grassroots campaign encouraging a cultural and social unification of the past and present, NSRA was renamed simply Selene. It is the organization that rules over most of the territory near the moon's south pole. Originally colonized back in late AD 2145 during SODOM's lunar population plan, Selene fought hard for its independence in the First Moon War and for its prosperity in the Second Moon War.

From the edges of the oxygen barrier that forms a protective shield over the city to the large metal skyscraping buildings, and from the industrial districts to the rural housing areas, Selene is truly a place that demands respect.

Selenian military is housed at the Silver Gate district, where all soldiers, mobile weapons, intel groups, etc. live and work. Hangars that belong to the MTF 121 (Mobile Task Force 121) contain the single largest army of Einhänder fighters ever put together. It is respected as the longest-running Einhänder division, created at the end of 2276 and lasting to this day. The ground force, though not as old as MTF 121, is called the Dawn Infantry. The DI is the organization of all ground forces and divisions that are the personalized army of Selene. Asano and Lieber Industries supply most ground weapons, fighters, and mobile suits used by them.

The governing body of the organization is a bicameral 200-member per house Congress of that are elected every three years (going along with military staff changes). Recently, SODOM launched a major assault on Selene reigniting the age old conflict between the two nations. However as has been seen in the past, the sheer bulk of SODOM forces are beginning to turn the tide of the war against the Selenians. It is unknown whether Selene will survive this latest attempt on its freedom, even as Nocturne Alliance has offered to lend them a hand during their time of need (ironically, something Selene had previously not done for its ally during the destruction of Seven Cities).
