Origin/History: A conglomerate of the Neo-African Consortium and the Arabian Syndicate, the Serpentine Syndicate was formed during several negotiation talks between the two nations concerning solidarity in the world. As a result, the two organizations merged together, agreeing to meet annually under an elected Serpentine Presidential Assembly under selected President Ariel Al-Hamadi Arabiya. However, many consider this assembly to be nothing more than a puppet government operating under dictatorial control, and the so-called solidarity talks were actually more of a hostile takeover.

The Apocalypse War left the Middle East almost completely decimated. Covering a vast amount of land surrounding the Valley of Jezreel was radiation, ensuring that local tribes and villages would not survive long without moving away. As the area lay in vast ruins, the again perfect conditions arose for a dictator to come to power-a man by the name of Ariel Al-Hamadi Arabiya.

Arabiya and his supporters quickly took over the many Arab states that lie in disarray, growing in strength as time passed. Soon after the Egyptian states were under Arabiya's control, his group officially declared itself the Arabian Syndicate, and introduced a harsh dictatorship as the only government for all the countries it conquered. Seeing the Middle East as an area of opportunity, and the Arabian Syndicate as a possible valuable business partner because of its resources, SODOM soon offered its helping hand and requested that a diplomatic alliance be formed between the two nations. Once Arabiya agreed, China followed suit, hoping to gain a vital lifeline to the riches of Middle Eastern resources. This proposal was also agreed to, and in less than two years this small group of countries gained two large allies.

Yet another faction that saw its independence through secession from a larger power, the Neo-African Consortium was a loose political alliance of several countries in the African continent that collectively filed for independence from the Earth Federation. However, as this consortium was mainly based on politics, state boundaries were based on politics as well. Neo-Africa was considered very unstable because of various factions within the larger organization, as well as frequent terrorist activity, social uprisings, and other more violent forms of political dissent.

Under Arabiya's command is a conglomerate military force of desert combat experts. Each soldier has been extensively trained in the art of both desert and jungle combat, and their specialized mobile suits have been modified to operate at full capacity in even the most extreme desert/tropical conditions.
